FCCLA is short for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. This program has involved more than nine million youth, since its founding in 1945, in FACS classes through grade 12. It is a program that helps prepare you for the real world. Giving young men and women confidence, integrity and perseverance to strive to be the best people they can be, FCCLA has changed peoples lives in many ways. Working with over 200,000 members in the 50 states, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, FCCLA continues with their mission to promote personal growth and leadership development in Family and Consumer Sciences educational classes. Striving towards new horizons FCCLA has become the only in-school organization that solely focuses on family and helps every single member within the organization develop life skills through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge and career preparation.
